Step 4: Body Alignment. The FIRST PRACTICAL STEP of the 9 steps. Setting up your body so it becomes a vocal instrument, which is key so when you start to layer on top breath, articulation and your voices they will actually work. If your body isn’t set up right with some key body tools then your voice will struggle to come out Period!
No Matter What You Try Vocally If Your Body Isn’t Set Up First Then You Will Struggle With Your Voice Execution and you want to be able to sing effortlessly every time.

Step 5 is Breathing. This is your fuel for your instrument. You want to run your breath like it is a car that has endless amounts of fuel and takes one second to fill up so not to get in your way of singing. There are two types of Breathing. Shallow Breathing and Diaghram Breathing and the Full Tank of the Diaphragm is what Singing need to helps us fuel our sound. Most of us use Diaghram Breathing when we sleep at night so its not as hard as you think. Ever watched someone sleeping and seen their belly go up and down. That is Diaphragm Breathing. Light Bulb Moment Boom!!!!!

Steps 6: Articulation. Once you set up your body as an instrument and sort your fuel of Breathing. Its then time to learn how to use your SPEAKER. If you don’t learn how to shape the air coming out your mouth then no one will understand you when singing. The Singing Language is we Sing with Vowel Sounds not Consonants right so you need to learn the 5 Vowel Shapes and make them muscle memory and automatic when you are singing a song. An important key as, as Singers our job to story tell and share lyrics of what the song is all about. We usually talk lazy so when we sing we have to lean how to pronounce our singing words properly. The knowledge of this step, steps up the level from amateur singers to pros.

Step 7: 5 Voices is the last mechanical step to work on to let your voices come out of you. Understanding your RANGE and CHAMBERS is learning how to create the best sound out of you depending on the song/style you are playing with. This keeps your voice healthy and gives you the best sound. To master this step locks in what colours you use for your voice and how to use them and get them every time. With this knowledge you can master any contemporary song and style because you have all the sounds and notes you will ever need for anything. Pretty Cool!

Step 8: Let’s face it without Vocal Health you have nothing. If you don’t have a healthy voice then you will struggle to do what you need to sing a song to its best. Our voice is inside us so we cannot see it so its important to learn WHAT IT ACTUALY IS? What we are using and how it works. This helps your brain understand what your vocal instrument is which helps you improve. Also understanding what the extremes are with your voice and how to look after it when singing and how to sing healthy even when Belting Out Notes or having to do loads of singing and talking over a period of time.
